Dine al fresco while sampling Detroit area cuisine, and visit four stages featuring international and local music artists. The food and performances are part of Comerica Cityfest, which is now in its 21st year. The five-day festival takes place in the New Center area, just north of Wayne State's main campus.

How about a taste?
More than 40 restaurants will participate and sell tastes of their specialties. Taste tickets are $10 for a strip of 16. Find everything from sweet potato-flavored ice cream to fried lobster-on-a-stick.

Music anyone?
A lineup of diverse singers, musicians and DJs is planned for each of the four performance stages. The concerts are free. The following artists are included in the schedule:

  • De La Soul
  • Buddy Guy
  • Kimmie Horn
  • Bettye LaVette
  • The Motor City Horns with The Brothers Groove and special guest Johnnie Bassett
  • Ray Parker, Jr.
  • The Veronicas
