During a Nov. 5 fair at Scott Hall, you will have the opportunity to speak with representatives of several agencies that will benefit from Wayne State's Combined Charitable Contributions Campaign. You will be able to get a firsthand account of how the agencies use your donations to help transform lives.
Visitors to the fair can speak with representatives of several agencies including United Way for Southeast Michigan, Black United Fund, Matrix Human Services, Gleaners Community Food Bank, Detroit Institute for Children and Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit.
“Times are difficult for everyone in Michigan, but they are much tougher for those who had even less before the economic downturn,” said Robert Frank, MD, executive vice dean of the School of Medicine, who serves as chair of this year’s campaign. “The faculty, employees and students of Wayne State University have a strong legacy of reaching out to the community, and I know they will do so again through this year’s campaign.”
The fair will take place in the cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn more at the School of Medicine.
The charitable campaign is going on now through Nov. 20. The goal is to raise $125,000.
