Help feed hungry neighbors in Southeastern Michigan. Boxed or canned nonperishable food will be collected at the Student Center Building during a food drive sponsored by the Student Center Administration.
The drive will benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. Gleaners relies on food donated by individuals, grocers, retailers, food distributors, manufacturers, and farms and community gardens to meet the needs of famished residents in the region.
According to its Web site, Gleaners provides more than 25 million pounds of food annually to underprivileged residents in SE Michigan and engages more than 14,000 volunteers to help the agency's mission.
