When asked how Detroit can “right size” itself with its vast land area and shrinking population, City Council candidate Saunteel Jenkins said she supports efforts to concentrate residents in a smaller portion of the city—so long as it’s done in a data-driven manner. “I would bring in urban planning experts from Wayne State University and University of Michigan to help the city come up with a plan for "right-sizing" the city,” Jenkins said.
