Learn how social networking sites can advance your career

Faculty and staff are invited to attend a free presentation on how to use social networking Web sites for career advancement. The discussion will take place Thursday, Nov. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Student Center Building, Hilberry Room A.

Presenter Michael C. Sensiba, Next Generation Librarian and Student Technology Studio Coordinator for Wayne State University's Library System, will cover the following topics:

  • Introduction to LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Salient features of these sites
  • How these sites affect students' educational lives
  • Possibilities for using these sites for career advancement and professional development
