Thomas Neville Bonner, who served as Wayne State University's 7th president from 1978 to 1982, died at his Scottsdale, Arizona, home Sept. 2. He was 80.

For the second straight year, WSU students have a new place to call home. South Residence Hall, a 6-story student living facility on Anthony Wayne Drive, just north of Warren Avenue, will house 467 students for the 2003-2004 academic year.
